  1. Fall Scavenger Hunt

    October 4, 9:00 AM - October 27, 6:00 PM @ Madison Public Library

    The library is hosting a fun fall scavenger hunt for children of all ages. Youth may stop in to the Main library any time and ask for a scavenger hunt card at one of our service desks. Find all the items on the card, write down the corresponding numbers, and collect sprout bucks to spend at the Madison Farmer's Market.

    Creative writing guided by Dominique Battles of Hanover College. This program is for kids in 4th-6th grades. The program is ongoing. Those who finish a story may submit it to be added to the library's collection. Registration required. Free. Go to mjcpl.org and click on "Events" to register.

  3. Mother Goose on the Loose

    October 23, 10:00 AM - 10:30 AM @ Madison Public Library

    Story/activity time for children 6mo.-35mo. includes rhymes, songs, musical instruments, and more for babies, toddlers, and their caregivers. This group meets for six weeks through November 6.   5. Calligraphy Class

    October 23, 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM @ Madison Public Library

    Instructor Tiffany Peleaz will teach a series of three consecutive calligraphy classes using a combination of the modern and brush methods. Terminology and the eight basic strokes needed to create an alphabet will be taught. All materials provided. Adult and young adult. Registration required.

  1. Special Committee Meeting of the Common Council/Redevelopment Commission

    October 23, 5:30 PM @ City Hall

    The Common Council of the City of Madison along with the Redevelopment Commission/TIF Board have established a special committee to look into the establishment of a Riverfront District in Madison, Indiana. This special committee will meet on Tuesday, October 23, at 5:30 pm in City Hall. Members of this committee are Council Members, David Alcorn and Katie Rampy, and Redevelopment Commission/TIF Board Member, Cary Strouse.
