Ben Newell will present his works. Sam Woodfill: The Greatest Soldier of WWI, celebrating the 100th anniversary of Woodfill's heroic feats during the Great War. Woodfill, a Jefferson County native, was a career army man whose postings included the Philippines (Spanish American War), Alaska (Gold Rush), and Mexican border. He won the Congressional Medal of Honor for his exploits during WW I. Also, the Beginnings of the Christian Church Series: Six Hours at the Cross, viewing the life of Christ through the eyes of the people who were touched by his ministry as they witnessed his Crucifixion; First Church of the Temple, the story how the early Christian Church began its worship in the Jewish Temple, its practices, and the dangers the first Christians faced from the Jewish authorities, based on Acts 1-12. The Travels of Paul, by Dr. Luke, looks at Paul's life through the personal life of Dr. Luke, with the historical background, based on Acts 13-28 as its source. All ages.
