  3. Knitting Colorwork Scarves at Hanover Library

    September 20, 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM @ Hanover Public Library

    Colorwork Scarf knit in the round. Instructor Pam Sinsel will teach students with basic knitting knowledge how to knit a scarf in the round in the Fair Isle method of colorwork. The motif will be a leaf pattern in honor of the fall season. Note: pattern will make a dense scarf. See web calendar for required materials list.

  4. Gene Stratton-Porter's Limberlost Legacy Presentation

    September 20, 6:30 PM - 7:00 PM @ Madison Public Library

    Curt Burnette, Naturalist and Program Developer for the Limberlost State Historic Site, will present Gene Stratton-Porter's Limberlost Legacy, both the home she lived in, called the Limberlost Cabin, and the swamp and other areas where she focused her writings. Burnette's talk will include Stratton-Porter's life and career, and the destruction and restoration of the Limberlost wetlands.
