City Parks Department Announces Fall Flag Football League
Madison, IN—The City of Madison Parks Department is offering co-ed youth flag football for students in kindergarten through 8th grade. The football season will tentatively start after Labor Day and will run for six weeks.
“Following conversations with the Hoosier Hills Youth Football League and given the current health concerns surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, we felt it was in the best interests to not participate in tackle football this year. We believe that flag football will allow participants to learn the fundamentals of football while still taking preventative measures to slow the spread of COVID-19,” said Interim Park Director Matt Woolard.
Registration is open now and will close on September 4th. The cost to register is $25 per participant. Participants can register online at http://madison-in.gov/208/Recreational-Activities; however, payments must be made at the Parks Office located inside City Hall at 101 W. Main St. Madison, IN 47250. Participants can also pick up a registration form at the Parks Office.
