Introduction to knitting class for beginners who have always wanted to learn how to knit. Instructor Pam Sinsel will teach the foundation skills: how to read a basic pattern, three different cast on methods, the purl stitch, how to bind off when finished, and about the equipment needed to knit. The class series is four weeks. Students need to purchase size 7 or 8 knitting needles. The Library will provide the yarn. Registration required.

A comprehensive series of 10 classes on Mondays that will cover method and technique and focus on a particular project each week. Each student will need to purchase materials for the class. See website for materials list. Art exhibition at the end of the series. The September topics will be Portrait Painting, Value Study, and Composition. Adults and young adults.
