  3. An Evening of Cordial Politics

    May 28, 2019, 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM @ Madison Public Library

Presenter Mike Walro asks, “Are you as frustrated as I am that we can’t talk about politics without being afraid of offending someone? Does the divisiveness of political discourse bother you? If so, I invite you to meet at the Auditorium of the Madison Public Library on Tuesday, May 28 for ‘An Evening of Cordial Politics.’ There will be a few rules: 1) Bring a joke to start things off, the cornier the better; 2) Be prepared to answer some questions like, What am I afraid of and why? What are my hopes and how do we to get from here to there? and, 3) Be polite – no sarcasm, no name calling, no anger. We’ll just be a bunch of friends getting together to discuss what’s important. No guarantees that this will work, but isn’t it worth a try?”
