Katie was born and raised in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She met her husband, Jeff while attending Ball State University. She and her husband have lived in Madison for 25 years and have lived in district 4 for the past 18. They have been married for 26 years and have raised their 3 sons here in Madison. All 3 children graduated from Prince of Peace Schools. She and her husband continue to attend and are members of Prince of Peace.
