Clifty Drive Sidewalk and Sewer Updates

Partners: City of Madison; INDOT; Jacobi, Toombs and Lanz

Developer/Contractor: Dave O'Mara Contracting, Inc.

Location: The north side of Clifty Drive between Harry Nichols Drive (McDonalds intersection) and the driveway of Frisch's, and the south side of Clifty Drive between Wilson Avenue and Michigan Road.

Project Summary: The City of Madison, as a part of our sidewalk management plan and initiative to improve the quality of life for our residents, will be creating new sidewalks along the north and south sides of Clifty Drive. These sidewalks will meet current code, and be fully ADA compliant, increasing the walkability in our city one step at a time. This project grew from the original STELLAR design concept, and the public meeting in 2019 presentation. 

Anticipated Project Schedule: The project will begin April 2024 with an estimated completion date of November 2024. 

Estimated Cost: $3.9 million. 

Funding Sources: RDC contribution - $800,000, Federal Grant funds - $3.1 million
